Good to know
Use the License Check tool on the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) website to confirm the license is active, see its classification, and check bond, workers’ compensation and any complaint history.
Most structural, electrical, plumbing and mechanical work requires a permit from the City of Agoura Hills’s building department. A reputable builder will pull permits and schedule inspections, and some neighborhoods also require HOA approval before work starts.
Listings are hand-selected. We look for a strong, consistent record of reviews on established third-party platforms and confirm basic contact details before a business appears. Paid plans can raise where a listing appears on a page, but they don’t buy a place in the guide.
Each rating is shown as published on the named third-party site, such as Yelp, Google, Houzz, WeddingWire or RealSelf, with the review count and a link to the source. Ratings change over time, so check the source for the latest.
