Address: The Lakes at Thousand Oaks, 2200 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks, CA 91362
Bread Head is opening at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks. The sandwich shop started in Santa Monica, and its menu was created by co-founders Alex Williams and Jordan Snyder, who have each been awarded a Michelin star. It will take over the space Umami Burger used to occupy, next to Erewhon.
When: Bread Head’s September 17 press release says the Thousand Oaks shop, its fifth location, is “expected to open in Q2 2027.” CEO Greg Willsey told What Now Los Angeles that the lease is signed. He said the team hopes to break ground by January or February 2027.
What to expect: The Lakes’ listing describes indoor and outdoor seating, large TVs with NFL Sunday Ticket, and a curated beer and wine selection. The menu is built around house-made bread, with a full breakfast menu and made-from-scratch sides and desserts. Conejo Valley Guide lists signature sandwiches such as the Calabrian Turkey, Muffaletta, Roast Beef, BLT, Turkey Pesto and Combo Grinder.
We’ll update this post when Bread Head announces an opening date.
